I’m Evelien Nickmans. Sociologist, mama to Adrian and Ella Marie, partner, cat and dog mom, and founder of Eve’s Apple.

After giving birth to my daughter at home, completely on my own terms, I felt a power awaken inside me that changed everything. Not long after, I burned out and found myself face to face with one question:

Who am I, underneath everything I’ve been taught about who a woman is supposed to be?

Through my sociological lens, I started seeing the patterns everywhere. Pleasing. Adapting. Holding back. Being the good girl. Don’t be too loud. Don’t be difficult. Don’t be too much.

I don’t believe in any of that anymore.

In 2025, I founded Eve’s Apple to help women break free from that conditioning and start living from their own power, desires and truth.

Because women are freakin’ powerhouses.

Time to live like it.
